Getting Started! - How to Be Frugal



Frugality is a learned skill, that anyone can master. But getting started can seem overwhelming. I can help you decide where and how to begin. Let's start with your questions. My goal is to help you resolve any confusion you may have. Feel free to submit any frugality question below, from how to be frugal and still have fun, to which frugality books and websites are helpful for beginners. Describe your questions or concerns, and I will try and point you in the right direction.

How to Save? Start with Baby Steps

This site contains alot of information, so check out the articles section, and begin with topics that interest you. Visit the forums, they are not only encouraging and enlightening, but full of tips and helpful advice from other frugal guests. Visit often, allow yourself time to absorb this new information, and commit to using what you've learned.

Let's make getting started easier, by taking action right now. Choose one of these two choices: garage sale or thrift store. Then read the corresponding article, either getting started at garage sales, or saving money at thrift stores. Decide to explore one (or both!) of these money saving shopping options sometime this week.
